Rowe Labor Day Retreat for Gay, Bisexual and Questioning Men

Aug. 31 - Sept. 3, 2012
Rowe, Massacusetts
$250-650 per person

The Rowe Labor Day Retreat for Gay, Bisexual and Questioning Men is community gathering of men who love men, in which group activities, workshops, lectures and rituals are offered as opportunity for men to practice togetherness, self-acceptance, reflection, renewal and just plain love and laughter!

Where: Rowe, Massachusetts, a small town in the Berkshire Mountains, about 4 hours from NYC and 2 hours from Boston.

When: Aug 31 - Sep 3, 2012. Registered participants are welcome starting at 3pm Friday and check out at 2pm Monday afternoon

Cost: The complete experience runs from $250 - $600 depending on the accommodations you choose. Camperships are available for those with limited funds.

Why: Despite the enormous accomplishment of the past three decades, it is still not easy to grow up gay. We are told that we are sick, different, wierd, less than, and other labels that cause us to shrink from our wonderful gifts as creators, healers, friends and leaders. Coming together gives us the opportunity to celebrate ourselves as we really are.

Come join us!

Now in its 27th year, this Labor Day Retreat is one of the longest standing gay, bisexual, and questioning men’s gatherings in the United States. For new participants, Rowe is a safe place to explore coming out, to spread your wings, and to make real friends. For those returning, Rowe offers a real connection with men who value spirituality and personal maturity. This nourishing experience offers a bridge to a more connected view of the gay community and the world. See and feel beauty in yourself and in other men. Expect the unexpected.

Co-Directors Don Litwin, Andrew Plummer and Benjamin Seaman will lead us to new levels of exploration and expansion from the moment we arrive until the final closing circle. Removed from our everyday life, we will be offered mystery and surprise, intrigue and wonder that will delight all the senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. The woods, the mountain air, the meadows, streams, and the night sky evoke feelings of magic and awe. Experience the bridge between the passing of summer and the dawn of autumn.

Rowe is a place of transformation, providing emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual experiences. You will feel welcomed and whole; you will laugh and you may shed some tears of release. Workshops led by experienced teachers will explore relationships, body work, art, dating, theater, singing, meditation, spirituality, movement, and much more. There will be gift-giving, ritual, play, and delicious home-cooked meals.

We will create space for sharing, without fear. There will be time for quiet talks and walks, moments of joy, and surprises to delight your imagination. We see happiness and love in the faces of men, year after year, as life-long friendships are formed.  Please join us. You are welcome here.
